Account information you provide directly — name, email, phone number, date of birth, gender, target exam and exam year.
Usage data generated as you use the platform — quiz attempts, scores, time spent, bookmarks and progress across subjects and topics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use this information to run your account, show your progress and performance, personalise the practice sets you see, process payments for paid plans, and communicate important updates about your account.
3. Cookies & Session Data
GuideExam uses cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Disabling cookies in your browser may prevent parts of the platform, including login, from working correctly.
On our public pages we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use GuideExam. It sets cookies and collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. Google Analytics is not used on your dashboard after you sign in. You can opt out using Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform (such as payment processors and email delivery) and only to the extent needed for them to provide that service.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and access controls — to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we continuously work to improve our safeguards.
6. Your Rights
You can review and update most of your profile information from your dashboard at any time. To request a full export or deletion of your account data, contact support@guideexam.com.
7. Students Under 18
Many GuideExam users are school students under 18. Students under 18 should use GuideExam with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
We do not show advertising, do not use tracking on signed-in pages, and do not sell or share student data for marketing. Google Analytics runs only on our public pages, never on a student's dashboard, practice sessions or tests.
A parent or guardian can ask to review, correct or delete their child's data, or close the account, by emailing support@guideexam.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email before they take effect.
